Des Moines Math Circle
Introducing competition math to students of all backgrounds
Our Mission
Competition math offers creativity that is not often experienced in traditional school mathematics. However, those who begin early and are provided with appropriate resources gain a distinct advantange. Our goal is to expose this type of math to Des Moines students of all backgrounds by making available to them free materials and innovative competitions.
Interviews at PROMYS 2024!
PROMYS is a 6-week math summer program hosted by Boston University. It gathers high school students from around the country for the study of number theory and other advanced mathematics. We interviewed several PROMYS 2024 counselors (hailing from top universities such as Harvard, MIT, Yale, and BU) on their experiences in math. Their perspectives provide useful insight on mathematics in high school and beyond.

You get 6 guesses and after each incorrect guess you can see a new segment of the solution, which might help you reach the right answer.
